Sarees are free-size garments. The main sizing point is the blouse. On PRASANGKAR, most designer sarees come with a stitched blouse piece (free bust size up to 42 inches). Please read the blouse details on the product page before placing your order.

Saree Size (Free Size)

Sarees are generally free-size and can be draped to suit different body types. The fall, look, and comfort depend on fabric type, work detailing, and drape style.

Each product page mentions key details such as fabric, work type, blouse information, and styling notes. For designer pieces with heavy embroidery, sequins, or layered work, we recommend checking the description carefully so you know what to expect in feel and finish.

Stitched Blouse Size (Most Common)

Most PRASANGKAR sarees include a stitched blouse with free bust size up to 42 inches. The blouse can be altered by your local tailor as per your fitting preference.

  • if your bust size is under 42 inches, you can usually get a clean fitted alteration
  • if you prefer a loose fit, ask your tailor to keep extra margin while stitching or altering
  • blouse style and design may vary by product (neck, sleeves, hooks, padding)
  • if any blouse detail is important for you, confirm with us before ordering

How to Measure Correctly (Bust)

Measuring properly avoids alteration stress later. Use a soft measuring tape and measure in inches.

  1. stand straight and keep your shoulders relaxed
  2. wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust
  3. keep it snug, not tight
  4. note the number in inches and keep it ready while ordering

Alteration Note (Important)

We do not provide alteration services. Designer blouses with embroidery and sequence work may need careful handling while altering. Choose a tailor who understands designer wear finishing and ask them not to disturb the work areas.

Designer Work & Comfort Notes

Many designer sarees have embroidery, sequins, zari, stones, or mixed materials. This affects how the saree feels on skin and how it drapes.

  • heavy work areas may feel firmer compared to plain fabric parts
  • avoid pulling the work directly while draping
  • store the saree folded softly to protect the work
  • for long wear, consider a comfortable inner and proper pinning
